摘除眼球对黄鳝血清褪黑激素水平及性腺发育进程的影响

【摘要】 通过眼球摘除方法,本文初步探讨眼球对黄鳝血清褪黑激素水平及性晚发育进程的影响.实验结果表明:与对照组相比,摘除单侧眼球仅使血清褪黑激素水平的午夜值(MDSM)略有下降,但摘除双侧眼球(致盲)却可导致MDSM显著降低;由此可见,眼球对黄鳝血清褪黑激素的合成与分泌具有重要意义.然而,长期致盲对黄鳝的性腺发育并没有显著影响,从而说明在黄鳝这种穴居动物中,性腺发育的调节涉及眼球之外的器官.

【Abstract】 Through enucleation, role of eye-balls in the origin of serum melatonin and the processof gonadal development was preliminarily studied in the ricefield eel, Monopterus albus Zuiew. The results show that:Enucleation of 1 eye-ball caused a little drop of mid-dark value of serum melalonin (MDSM), while enucleation of both 2 eye-balls (blinding) decreased sig-nificautly the MDSM in the ricefield eels. It is concluded that the eye-balls are very important to the synthesis and secretion of serum melatonin. Long-term blinding (for 5 weeks), however, demonstrated insignificant impact on the process of gonadal development. It appears that there are other organs, rather than the eyes, which are involved in the regulation of gonadal development in this burrowing fish.
