河北泥河湾盆地典型剖面地层学研究进展

【摘要】 根据对泥河湾盆地地层古生物学的最新研究,初步认为泥河湾盆地出露地表的河湖沉积物可以分为蔚县组/稻地组和泥河湾组,并建议废弃其他不规范的岩石地层组名称。稻地老窝沟剖面和东窑子头大南沟剖面地层出露全,含化石丰富,在泥河湾盆地中很有代表性,产出的哺乳动物化石被归入4个具有演化意义的组合。大南沟剖面被选定为泥河湾组的典型剖面,并划分为4个岩石地层段,所发现的化石代表了第四纪哺乳动物演化的3个阶段。本文同时还对“泥河湾层”的划分、对比和时代进行了讨论。
【Abstract】 The fluvio-lacustrine deposits exposed in the Nihewan Basin can be preliminarily divided into the Yuxian/Daodi Formation and the Nihewan Formation,according to our latest study of stratigraphy and paleontology in the basin.We recommend abandonment of some previously named lithostratigraphic units that do not conform to standards or to synonymize under the Nihewan Formation.The Laowogou Section near Daodi village and the Danan- gou Section near Dongyaozitou village,with their better and complete exposures of strata and their abundant fossils, serve as representative sections in this basin.Mammal remains from the two sections are grouped into four assem- blages.The Danangou Section is chosen as the type section of the Nihewan Formation,which is divided into four informal lithological members.From bottom to top,they are the Sand-Gravel Member,the Marl Member,the Yellow Sand Member and the Sand Clay Member.Fossil mammals from the Nihewan Formation represent three dif- ferent phases of mammalian evolution in the Pleistocene.These are characterized by the Proboscidipparion-Equus -Allophaiomys deucalion-Cromeromys gansunicus assemblage and the Canis chihliensis-Allophaiomys pliocaenicus -Microtus minoeconomys-Lasiopodomys probrandti assemblage in the early Pleistocene(2.58~0.78 Ma),and the presence of Microtus of.maximowszii in the middle and late Pleistocene.Subdivision,correlation and age of the“Nihewan beds”are also discussed in the paper.
