二叠系乐平统——一个国际标准年代地层单位

【摘要】 作为二叠系和古生界的最后一个统,乐平统记录了古生代向中生代转折时期的一系列异乎寻常的环境和生物变化。全面了解这一时期生物与环境的协同变化必须依赖于精确的年代地层和区域地层对比。广西来宾蓬莱滩剖面被确认为具备世界上最完整的瓜德鲁普统一乐平统层序,成为吴家坪阶和乐平统底界层型剖面。浙江长兴煤山的二叠系—三叠系剖面就是经过系统深入的研究,已建立了二叠系—三叠系界线的全球层型,同时也将成为吴家坪阶—长兴阶界线的全球层型和长兴阶单位层型的剖面。乐平统吴家坪阶和长兴阶界线层型剖面的确立不仅对特提斯海相地层区不同区域间的对比提供了确切对比的基础,也为其他地区长期存在的乐平统对比的争论提供了解决途径。
【Abstract】 The Upper Permian recorded the greatest mass extinction and the most dramatic environmental changes in geologic history.The key to understanding the process of these events lies upon the precise chronostrati- graphic correlations of regional stratigraphic successions.With extensive studies,the Penglaitan section in Guangxi was proved to contain the most complete stratigraphic sequences across the Guadalupian-Lopingian boundary,and thus was established as the GSSP for the base of the Wuchiapingian stage as well as the Lopingian series.The Meis- han section in Zhejiang province,where the GSSP for the Permian-Triassic boundary was set,is chosen as the can- didate section for the GSSP of the Wuchiapingian-Changhsingian boundary and the unit stratotype for the Changhsin- gian stage.With the Lopingian Series of South China as the global standard for the Upper Permian and a set of bio-,magneto-,and sequence stratigraphic tie points,it provides not only the refmed stratigraphic correlation a- mong the Tethyan regions,but also great potentials to solve the disputes in the correlation among other regions.
