【Abstract】 The interaction of water with solid surfaces is one of the most important phenomena,which plays an important role in many natural and technological processes.The structure and properties of the water layers on the solid surfaces have been widely investigated,but the role of the surfaces hydroxylation and their possible influence on the later reactions are largely neglected.This article addresses a number of these issues and tries to shed some light on the understanding on the unique reactivity of hydroxylate surface in the paste reaction method,which stands out from other reaction methods for its inexpensive,simple and efficient and its secret is adding proper amount of solvent(generally water)into the solid reactants.
