【Abstract】 Cinnabar is widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a sedative.The toxicity of Cinnabar is maybe from mercury existed in it.The aim of this work was to assess the acute toxicity of cinnabar.Male Wistar rats were treated with cinnabar at a single dose of 15g/kg body weight.Urine samples were collected over a 48h time interval and the ~1H NMR spectra were measured on a 600 MHz spectrometer.The variation of several metabolites in urine provided a sensitive measure of cinnabar induced renal lesion.更多还原
