【Abstract】 Electron spin resonance imaging (ESRI) is a rapidly developing method for establishing spatial distribution of paramagnetic centers in a sample.This method has a wide field of potential applications,including physics,chemistry,biology and plant physiology. In the present paper we will describe the two-dimensional ESRI of the sunflower grain with natural stable free radicals.The concentration of natural stable free radicals in a sunflower grain is about 1014spins,exhibiting at X-band a single ESR signal with a line width about 1.13 mT.One dimensional-mode projection were obtained in 0-180°at with a BRUKER ER 200D-SRC ESR spectrometer.The value of magnetic field gradient was 2.5 mT/cm. A efficient algorithm has been designed for reconstructing ESRI,on the basis of projection profile principle,which can be used to plot contour distribution graph of the sample spin density distribution on a cross-section.
