单波长双向传输吉比特EFM链路可行性研究

【摘要】 对采用单波长双向传输的吉比特以太网链路的可行性进行了分析。由于光耦合器不具有波长选择性,因此反射光信号将对系统性能造成一定的影响,包括信号串扰和相干噪声。本文对这两种现象进行了分析,并证明了单波长双向传输方案是可行的。
【Abstract】 This paper analyzes the feasibility of bi-directional single wavelength Gigabit Ethernet fiber-optic links. Because the couplers are not wavelength specific, the reflections of optical signal at the transceiver-cable interface are a major source of performance degradation. We analyze the extent of the two optical noise including cross-talk and interferometric noise, and demonstrate the feasibility of the bi-directional, single wavelength links.
