珠心算训练儿童的计算相关脑功能区的fMRI研究

【摘要】 目的:应用功能磁共振成像(fMRI)技术研究接受过珠心算训练的儿童和未接受过珠心算训练的儿童在执行计算任务时脑功能状态和激活模式及差别。方法:对12名接受过3年珠心算训练的儿童(训练组)与年龄、利手及教育等因素匹配的12名未接受过珠心算训练的儿童(未训练组)进行加、减、乘、除计算和数物对照判断实验。采用组块设计模式,静息组块与刺激组块交替出现,循环3次。设备为 Siemens 公司 Trio 3.0T 磁共振扫描仪及头部正交线圈,采用 EPI 序列进行 fMRI BOLD 脑功能磁共振成像。应用 SPN2软件对原始图像进行数据处理和统计学分析,以获取脑功能活动的图像。结果:训练组:加、减、乘、除法计算实验均可见双侧枕叶(双侧楔叶)、右侧顶叶(右侧顶下小叶、右侧楔前叶、右侧中央后回)及双侧小脑半球激活,尤以双侧楔叶激活明显。乘法计算激活脑区明显多于其它计算,加法计算激活脑区明显少于其它计算。未训练组:加、减、乘、除法计算实验均可见双侧额中回、右侧顶上小叶、右侧顶下小叶、右侧舌回、右侧梭状回和双侧小脑半球激活。训练组激活脑区较未训练组明显要少,且范围要小。两组的脑激活区在右侧顶叶有一定程度的重叠,但未训练组中激活范围明显大于训练组。结论:训练组与未训练组计算过程所涉及的脑功能区存在显著差别。训练组主要激活枕叶及顶叶,而未训练组以额叶及顶叶激活为主。

【Abstract】 Objective:To investigate the difference of the brain functional status and the activating mode between the trained children and the untrained children engaged in mental calculation using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).Methods: Twelve children trained with mental abacus calculation for 3 years (the trained group) and 12 untrained children (the untrained group) performed mental calculation tasks including addition,subtraction,multiplication,division and number-object control judg- ing tasks.The two groups were matched in terms of age,handedness and education and so on.Using a block-design,3 resting blocks and 3 stimulating blocks alternated.Blood oxygenation level dependence (BOLD) fMRI scan was performed in a Siemens Trio 3.0T MRI scanner with an echo planar imaging (EPI) sequence.All data was analyzed by SPM2 to generate the activating map.Results:The trained group:Bilateral occipital lobes (bilateral cuneus),the right parietal lobe (the right inferior parietal lob- ule,the right precuneus,the right postcentral gyrus) and the bilateral cerebellums (especially bilateral cuneus) were activated in addition,subtraction,multiplication and division calculation.Compared with other calculations,the functional areas increased ob- viously in multiplication calculation,the functional areas in addition calculation were few.The untrained group:Bilateral middle frontal gyrus,the right superior parietal lobule,the right inferior parietal lobule,the right lingual gyrus,the right fusiform gyrus, and the bilateral cerebellums were activated obviously in four experiments.The extent and magnitude of functional areas in the un- trained group was larger than that in the trained group.In the trained group,the right parietal lobe overlapped to some extent with that in the untrained group,but the untrained group showed more obvious activation.Conclusion:There is a significant difference of functional areas between the trained group and the untrained group for calculation.The occipital lobe and parietal lobe are activated mostly in the trained group,and the most functional areas in the untrained group are frontal lobe and parietal lobe.
