【Abstract】 The coastal areas in South Fujian are one of the highest areas of urbanization in China,occupying 51.64% of total Fujian’s GDP.City is an ecosystem focused on human society,an opposite and consolidated system of urban society ( population,labor and mentality) and urban space (terrain environment,natural environment and manpower establishments).Regional stability is considered as an important condition for urban construction,water is indispensable natural resources for urban development.The granite crust of weathering is developed in coastal areas and the geological issue of soft soil environment is evident.The author discusses the issues of regional stability,balance of demand and supply for urban water resources and the engineering geological problems dealt with during ur- ban construction.It is concluded that the continental crust in the studied areas is in a stable and sub-stable state,urban and engineer- ing constructions are safe on the whole;most of the marine crust is in an unstable state,where the engineering construction needs earth- quake resistance design;the water resource is abundant with uneven distribution in time and space and low extent of exploitation;gran- ite crust of weathering is developed in coastal terrace and closely related with engineering construction,the main destructive type for the residual soil slope is slumping;soft soil aging consolidation effect is the internal factor for the uneven subsidence of soft groundworks.更多还原
