【摘要】 本文在回顾择校与教育机会公平的相关理论与实证研究基础上,运用2006年中国义务教育阶段家庭教育支出调查数据,通过实证分析比较我国城市地区义务教育阶段择校与不择校家庭,其社会经济地位与子女就读学校水平之间的对应性,从而探讨择校行为对教育机会分布公平性的影响。实证研究发现:(1)相对于不择校家庭,择校家庭的社会经济地位与子女就读学校水平之间的正相关关系更强。(2)在其他条件相同的情况下,相对于不择校家庭,择校家庭的社会经济地位对子女就读学校水平的正的影响更强。实证分析结果说明,家庭社会经济地位与子女就读学校水平之间具有较强的一致性,义务教育阶段的择校行为在一定程度上强化了社会分层与教育分层之间的对应性,从而进一步引发教育机会分布的不公平性。更多还原

【Abstract】 Based on a theoretical and empirical review of school chioce and the equity of educational opportunity,using China’s Household Expenditure on Compulsory Education Survey data in 2006,this paper carries out an empirical comparison between the families that have invested in school choice and those that have not.Through an insight into the correspondence between social-economic status and the school level,the effect of school choice on equity of educational opportunity is discussed.The main findings are as follows:First,compared with the families that have not invested in school choice,the positive relationship between social-economic status and the school level is more remarkable in families that have invested in school choice.Second,when other variances controlled,compared with the families that have not invested in school choice,the positive effect of social-economic status on the school level is stronger in families that have invested in school choice.The empirical findings show that school chioce in compulsory education results in a close correspondence between social-economic status and the school level,therefore,school choice alsostrengthens the correspondence between social stratification and educational stratification and brings about further inequity of educational opportunity.更多还原
