激发光偏振态对二芳基乙烯光致各向异性的影响
Influence of polarization of the excitation beam on photoinduced anisotropy in diarylethene film

【摘要】 研究了椭圆偏振激发光诱导二芳基乙烯光致各向异性,分析了不同偏振态激发光对光致各向异性的影响。理论计算了在不同椭圆率(椭圆偏振激发光长轴和短轴光强度之比)偏振光的激发下,二芳基乙烯分子数密度及反应材料光致各向异性的探测光透过率变化曲线,并用正交偏振检测实验进行了验证。理论分析与实验结果表明:通过改变激发光偏振态,可以控制二芳基乙烯光致各向异性。因此,分别应用线偏振光-圆偏振光、正交线偏振光交替激发二芳基乙烯材料,实现了对探测光的调制。
【Abstract】 Optical anisotropy induced by elliptically polarized pump beam has been investigated in theory and experiment, and the influences of the polarization state of pump beam on optical anisotropy have been analyzed in diarylethene film. The theoretical curves of normalized molecular concentration and transmittance of the probe beam reflecting the anisotropy at the different ellipticity of pump beam are given, and the transmittance is testified with the experiment of orthogonal polarization detection. The results indicated that the photoinduced anisotropy in diarylethene film can be controlled by different polarized excitation beams. Consequently, the optical switching has been realized by alternating excitation with linearly-circularly polarization beam or orthogonal linearly polarization beam.
