基于虚拟桌面的应用服务访问系统研究

【摘要】 针对目前桌面计算模式面临的挑战,设计了一种基于虚拟桌面的应用服务访问系统,使用户通过虚拟桌面随时随地访问分布在网络中的图形交互应用服务,其目的是为用户提供一种低成本、易管理、可按需定制的、可移动的个人计算环境,使用户从繁琐的管理和维护细节中解脱出来,将注意力的中心集中在真正要完成的任务上.
【Abstract】 In the current desktop computing model, users must concern themselves with many unnecessary details, such as the names, addresses, architectures, operating systems, and software configurations of the machines they use. In fact users simply wish to accomplish their tasks on their data without such worries. In addition, as these personal desktop computers become ubiquitous in today’s large corporate and academic organizations, the total cost of owning and maintaining them can become unmanageable. In this paper, we present a system of application services access based on virtual desktop which enable user to interact transparently with remote application services distributed over network. The goal is to construct an easy to use, mobile and customize personal computing environment by integrating resources and applications on servers distributed in networks, so that users can access their personal computing environment anywhere using any available terminals without needs to carry computing devices. The system consists of network terminals, access servers, and application servers. The user can log in the nearly access server using any network terminal available around him. On receiving the request from the user, the access server will create the user’s virtual personal computing session according the user’s profile and service information, and a virtual desktop is presented to the user. The user can access application services distributed over networks as they own will through the virtual desktop just as their familiar desktop environment. The feature of our system is to construct the user’s personal computing environment dynamically in any network terminals by reassembling application services and resources distributed over networks. The user can gain access to substantially more applications and resources than can be afforded on one’s local desktop computer. In addition, our system reduces the lower total const of ownership. It is designed to work with unmodified legacy applications and commodity operating systems without giving up the large investments already made in the existing software base. The simple client access devices make it unnecessary to continuously upgrade to more powerful desktop machines.
