【Abstract】 The Catcher in the Rye by the American writer J. D. Salinger has been regarded as the modern classic novel. And its protagonist Holden has become a typical character in the history of American literature. This paper is trying to delve into the main character Holden’s psychology by Freud’s psychoanalysis approach.
