1998年春夏季南海若干重要水文特征及其形成机制分析

【摘要】 利用1998年亚洲季风暴发(5月25日)前后的两次CTD观测,分析了季风暴发前后南海若干重要水文特征分布、变化及其形成机制.结果表明,黑潮水以流套形式入侵南海,但其主体部分仅限于118°E以东的吕宋海峡附近.然后在大尺度环流系统的影响下继续西扩,并对16°N以北海域有明显影响.在吕宋岛西部和越南东部海域呈现两个显著的高温、低盐区.吕宋岛西部高温低盐区,在季风暴发后呈明显增强,而越南东部的高温低盐区则呈北部削弱、南部增强的趋势.这两个高温低盐区的形成除与上述区域均存在反气旋涡旋有关以外,吕宋岛西部的高温特征与苏禄海高温水的流入以及受大尺度环流系统的影响也是分不开的.中沙南部冷水区出现在50 m层以下,季风暴发后势力增强,并向西移.它的形成与这里存在上升流有关.

【Abstract】 On the basis of the CTD observation data obtained by the two cruises before and after Asian monsoon onset (25th, May 1998, several significant hydrographic characteristics distribution of the South China Sea (SCS), its variation and formation mechanism are analyzed. The results show that the Kuroshio water intrudes into the SCS in the form of loop current, and its main part is limited to the east of 118°N near the Bashi Strait. Then it conties to extend westwards under the influence of the large-scale circulation system, and has a distinct impact on the area of north of 16°N. There clearly appears two high temperature and low salinity regions west off Luzon and east off Vietnam respectively. One high temperature and low salinity region west off Luzon strengthened obviously after monsoon onset, but the other region east off Vietnam showed a tendency of weakening in the north and strengthening in the south. Besides being related with the cyclonic eddies existing in the regions above, the formation of the two regions also has a relation with the characteristics of high temperature off Luzon, the influx of the Sulu Sea high temperature sea water and the influence of the large-scale circulation system. There appears a cold water region below the depth of 50 m in the south of Zhongsha Island, and it strengthens after monsoon onset. Its formation is related to the upwelling there.
