1997年琉球群岛以东海流的季节变化

【摘要】 基于1997年日本“长风丸”号调查船春、夏和秋季三个航次和我国“向阳红14”号调查船夏、冬季两个航次在琉球群岛以东海区的水文和气象调查资料,采用改进逆方法,计算了琉球群岛以东海流的流速和流量,并分析了琉球海流在五个航次中的季节变化规律.五个航次观测资料的计算结果都表明,在琉球群岛以东海域靠近冲绳岛东南的陆坡上,有一支东北向的琉球海流.琉球海流的核心均出现在次表层.在琉球群岛以东海域,还常有一些中小尺度的涡旋,它们的出现将直接影响琉球群岛以东海流的结构.1997年琉球海流的最大流速值在22-47cm/s之间变化.琉球海流在春、冬季时较弱,而在夏、秋季时受其东侧暖涡的影响,琉球海流加强,其中夏季时暖涡最强,也最靠近西侧冲绳岛,因而琉球海流最强.通过断面OK的琉球海流的东北向流量在春、夏和秋季分别为5×106,16×106和17×106m3/s,即流量在春季较小,而在夏、秋季较大.流速计算结果与ADCP测流比较,吻合较好.

【Abstract】 Based on the hydrographic data obtained during three cruises from R/V Chofu Maru and two cruises from R/V Xi angyanghong No. 14 in 1997, the current velocities and volume transports southeast of the Ryukyu-gunto are calculated by the modified inverse method. The seasonal variation of the Ryukyu Current during the five cruises is also analyzed. Calculated results from the five cruises’ data indicate that there is a northeastward Ryukyu Current over the slope east of the Ryukyu-gunto. Its current core often lies in the subsurface layer.Some eddies often appear east of the Ryukyu-gunto in different scales, and they have direct influence on the Ryukyu Current. The Ryukyu Current is weaker in spring and winter, but stronger in the summer and autumn of 1997 due to the influence of the anticyclonic warm eddy in its eastern area, and its maximum velocity varies between 22 and 47 cm/s during the five cruises.The Ryukyu Current is strongest in summer because the anticyclonic warm eddy is strongest and nearest to the Ryukyu Current in this season. The northeastward volume transport of the Ryukyu Current through Section OK is about 5×106, 16×106 and 17×106 m3/s, respectively, in the spring, summer and autumn of 1997, i. e., it is smaller in spring , but larger in the summer and autumn of 1997. The calculated velocities are in good agreement with those measured with ADCP.
