BESIII事例筛选软件中的备用机制
The Backup Mechanism of BESIII Event Filter

【摘要】 北京正负电子对撞机 BEFCII 上的北京谱仪 BESIII 正在建造之中,BESIII 在线数据获取系统中的事例筛选是 BESIII 数据流处理中的重要一环。事例筛选软件在几十个计算节点上运行,负责从事例组装器中获得完整事例,使用过滤算法分析事例,并且在压缩本底的同时高效地把高能物理学家感兴趣的“好”事例传送给事例存储系统。由于各种突发因素可能导致部分节点失效,从而会降低系统单位时间内的数据处理能力,增加死时间,造成事例丢失。备用机制的引入可以有效解决这一问题,保证数据获取链路畅通。本文将着眼于 BESIII 事例筛选软件备用机制的策略、实现以及部分测试结果。
【Abstract】 The BESIII(Beijing Spectronmeter Ⅲ)is a general purpose experiment at BEPCII(Beijing Eelectron-Positron Collider Ⅱ)currently under construction in Beijing.The Event Filter software of the BESIII DAQ system plays an important role in the processing of the data flow of this experiment.The software will run on Dozens of PC nodes.Its primary function is to fetch full events from the EB (Event Builder),analyze them with physics filter algorithms,and send the accepted events to the Event Storage Sub-System.There may be sudden situations that several nodes fail to work at the same time during the running.Once such problems happen,the data processing capability of the EF (Event Filter) will be lowered,which may increase the dead time of the system and make the front end discard events.The backup mechanism is introduced to deal with problems and guarantee the smoothness of the data flow. This paper will mainly focus on the backup mechanism of the BESIII Event Filter software, including its strategy,implementation and some test results.
