共掺Al3+对石英基掺Yb3+光纤的影响

【摘要】 基于实验测试结果分析了用于大功率光纤激光器的石英基包层泵浦掺Yb3+光纤中Al3+共掺的特性,揭示出为了减小Yb3+的浓度猝灭,Al3+的掺入量为Yb3+的7-8倍为最佳参数,在获得高吸收系数的同时还可更好的满足数值孔径的要求。同时,通过疏松层温度实验获得的相关参数表明,疏松层的最佳温度应控制在14401480℃之间,此范围内的吸收系数均高达550-620dB/m,且重复性较好。这些结论为共掺Al3+的掺Yb3+光纤制作有很好的参考作用。

【Abstract】 The characteristics of co-doping Al3+ on Ytterbium-Doped Silica-Based Fiber used for high-power laser were analyzed based on experiment tests. The results show that the optimum ratio of Al3+/Yb3+ is 7-8, both of high absorption coefficient and proper numerical aperture can be obtained. Meanwhile, temperature range of making porous layer was derived from porous layer experiment and several performs were fabricated. The results show that the optimum temperature of making porous layer should between 1440℃ and 1480℃ where the absorption coefficients were as high as 550-620dB/m with better repetition. The conclusions above are good reference on fabrication of ytterbium-doped Al3+ co-doped fiber.
