【Abstract】 In this paper, the significance of genetic engineering and the domestic and foreign situations of genetic engineering are briefly related; the genetic transformation system of maize in all aspects including the selection of transformation recipient, the methods of introducing foreign genes, transformation technique by the microprojectile bombardments of a particle gun and so on are introduced; the advancements of transgenic (Bt) maize breeding for insect resistance are demonstrated, and the bright prospects and problems of the transgenic maize breeding are discussed.更多还原
