【Abstract】 In this paper,the characteristics and shortcomings of traditional master-standby replication schemes are analyzed.A novel log-driven master-standby replication model based on shared storage media is designed.Under this model,a real-time replication strategy and failure recovery protocols with weak consistency constraints are discussed. It is shown from experiments that the suggested replication strategy can reduce missing transactions ratio and decrease the time of fail-over.
