【Abstract】 The data dictionary management system,which is an important part in the parallel data warehouse management system(PDWMS),manages the metadata of data warehouses.A completed and well organized data dictionary is significant to impove the system efficiency and the ability of providing shared resources in data warehouses.In this paper we focus on the organization of the data dictionary.An organization scheme of data dictionary in data warehouse systems,the operations on the dictionary and the algorithms for implementing the operations are proposed in the paper.The organization scheme toperations and algorithms have been used in the a parallel data warehouse prototype system developed in Harbin Institute of Technology.It has been shown that the organization scheme,operations and algorithms are very effective and efficient.更多还原
