Simultaneous decompression and oral feeding facilitated by nasointestinal tube for nutritional support during bowel obstruction

【摘要】 <正>Nasointestinal tube decompression was a reliable alternative to immediate surgery and nasogastric tube decompression for the patients with bowel obstruction.We introduced a method of combining use of intestinal decompression and oral feeding as a routine therapy for simple bowel obstruction.In retrospective review of 55 patients treated by the method,the rate of surgical site infection was significantly lower than another group of 57 patients undergoing intestinal decompression standalone,although the nutritional status as evaluated by SGA score was similar between the two groups.Therefore,the study indicated that the introduced method reduced the advantage of reducing the risk of surgical site infection during bowel obstruction.更多还原
