利用远场P波波形确定1974年新疆乌恰地震的震源参数
DETERMINATION OF THE SOURCE PARAMETERS OF THE WUQIA EARTHQUAKE IN XINJIANG FROM FAR FIELD P-WAVEFORM

【摘要】 本文利用文献[1]介绍的方法,根据16张WWSSN台记录的垂直向P波波形记录反演求得1974年8月11日发生的乌恰MS=7.3地震震源参数为:破裂持续时间3.0 s;震源深度26 km;地震矩3.7×1027dyn·cm.震源机制解是:(1)λ=-2.4°,δ=83.6°,θS=32.8°,(2)λ=-173.6°,δ=87.6°,θS=302.6°,主压应力轴为近南北水平方向.结果表明,这次地震是一次走滑并兼有逆冲分量的短暂破裂过程.
【Abstract】 Using the method suggested in the reference 1,the source parameters of the Wuqia earthquake(Ms=7.3) of Aug.ll.1974 have been inverted from the vertical component P-waveforrns taken from 16 WWSSN stations.The rupture duration is 3.0 seconds;the focal depth is 26 km and the seismic moment is 3.7×1027 dyn·cm.The focal mechanism solution is:(1)λ=-2.4°,δ=83.6°,θS=32.8°;(2)λ=-173.6°,δ=87.6°,θS=302.6°and the principal compressional stress axis is horizontal with approximately NS striking.The results indicate that the event is a rapid rupture process with strick-slip and a thrust faulting.
