【摘要】 已有研究支持了女性择偶的好基因,好资源和好父亲策略,本研究则考察她们对不同策略的权衡。四十八名处于不同生理周期(黄体期,排卵期)的香港女性被随机分到三种条件下:好父亲组,好资源组,控制组,聆听表明各自内容的男性录音(低音代表好基因)。被试判断两组含有性爱意味的汉字是首字相同还是尾字相同(内隐测量),随后评定录音者对自己的吸引力(外显测量)。结果表明,黄体期女性对好父亲好资源的男性评价更高。不同条件下的被试对男性音调高低的偏好没有明显差异。排卵期女性更偏好音调低的男性。更多还原

【Abstract】 Intersex selection predicts three kinds of mate choices by human females,namely,good genes,good providers,and good fathers.Whereas these three mate choices have each separately received empirical support,not yet studied are how human females prioritize these mate choices corresponding to their different mating conditions.We investigated this question in two experiments by observing implicit and explicit response of female participants(ages 24 to 30,n = 48)in response to the three mate choices.Mate choices were manipulated by having female participants listen to good-father vs.good-provider statements which were recorded either in high or low pitched male voice(representing good genes).In one experiment,female participants were asked to perform a simple word task by identifying two common Chinese characters from a set of four characters connoting romance and sexuality. Response time was used as the dependent variable.In the second experiment,the dependent variable was explicit rating of attractiveness.Both experiments included as the mating condition the stage of participants’ menstrual cycle(i.e.,follicular vs.luteal phase).The results show a stronger association between sexual response(both implicit and explicit)and low pitched,as compared to high pitched voice,and good father,as compared to good provider statements.Women in the follicular phase responded mainly to voice pitch,whereas women in the luteal phase responded mainly to good father statements.These and other results support the evolutionary view that female choice is facultative best meeting the sex’reproductive needs.更多还原
