偶联剂改性碳酸钙晶须及其在造纸涂布中的应用

【摘要】 分别采用铝钛复合偶联剂和钛酸酯偶联剂对碳酸钙晶须进行改性,探讨了改性剂用量、悬浮液浓度、改性温度及改性时间对碳酸钙晶须改性效果的影响,并确定了改性最佳工艺条件。铝钛复合偶联剂改性的最佳工艺条件为,改剂用量8%,改性时间60 min,改性温度80℃,悬浮液浓度8%;钛酸酯偶联剂改性的最佳工艺条件为,改剂用量4%,改性时间70 min,改性温度85℃,悬浮液浓度8%;红外光谱分析表明改性后的粉体有有机质的存在。将添加了改性碳酸钙晶须的涂料用于纸张涂布,结果表明,加入改性后碳酸钙晶须的涂料涂布后成纸抗张强度、耐破度、耐折度、白度等性能均明显改善,偶联剂的改性增强了纸张纤维间的结合力。铝钛复合偶联剂作为复合材料的优势发挥明显,比单一的钛酸酯偶联剂更能增加纸张纤维间的结合强度,涂布纸物理性能指标改善更加明显。
【Abstract】 To study the effects of different surfactant dosages,suspension concentrations,modification temperature,modification time on modified effect assessments of calcium carbonate whiskers.Surface modification of calcium carbonate whiskers with aluminum titanium coupling agent and Titanate coupling agent was carried out.Modification effects of calcium carbonate whiskers were characterized with the activation degree,oil-absorption value and the viscosity.Modification effects of calcium carbonate whiskers were suggested in terms of Infrared spectral analysis technology results.First of all,It has been indicated that the optimum conditions of calcium carbonate whiskers surface modification with aluminum titanium coupling agent were surfactant dosage of 8%,suspension concentration of 8%,modification temperature of80℃,modification time of 60 min.the optimum conditions of calcium carbonate whiskers surface modification with Titanate coupling agent were surfactant dosage of 4%,suspension concentration of 8%,modification temperature of 85℃,modification time of 70 min.The second,It was inferred by Infrared spectral analysis technology that the modified powder existed organics.the calcium carbonate whiskers unmodified and modified were applied in the paper coating.Then the physical performances of the papers were measures.the paper coating which added modified whiskers has better performance,including the significant improvement of the tensile strength,burst strength,folding endurance and whiteness.Modification of whiskers improved fibre combining power.As composite material,the advantages of aluminum titanium coupling agent develop obviously.Paper fibre anchoring strength was higher than Titanate coupling agent.The physical performances of the papers have improved obviously.It has been indicated that by whiskers’ application in paper-making process expanding the application scope of aluminum titanium coupling agent and Titanate coupling agent,It provide evidences to the application of modified whiskers on paper coating.
