太赫兹时域光谱无损检测非透明包装食品内部品质初探

【摘要】 太赫兹时域光谱(THz-TDS)是基于飞秒激光技术的新型光谱测量技术,THz波能量较低且对很多非极性物质透过性极强,因此可能透过食品外部包装检测其内部品质且不破坏被检测物质。本研究首先对几种不同材质的食品包装分别进行了太赫兹以及其他波段(紫外、近红外、红外)的透射模式扫描,其中太赫兹波对于塑料、纸盒、纸袋、布袋以及泡沫包装可以完全透过,且透过性远高于其他波;但对于含金属的易拉罐和铝箔复合材料包装,太赫兹波不能透过。接下对市售袋装的纯牛奶以及塑料杯装的酸奶进行太赫兹的衰减全反射(ATR)扫描,太赫兹波可以穿透外包装,直接获得牛奶和酸奶的特征谱图。实验结果表明:太赫兹时域光谱可以透过大多数(不合金属成分)的食品包装,具有无损检测非透明包装食品内部缺陷及异物的潜力。

【Abstract】 Terahertz time domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS) is a newly developed technique based on femtosecond laser technology.The energy of THz wave is low and the transmission of THz wave for many non-polar substances is extremely strong,thus it has possibility to detect the internal quality of food without opening the wrapper or destroying the samples.In this study,the transmission spectra of terahertz as well as other wavelengths(including ultraviolet,near-infrared and infrared) of several different materials for food packaging were collected.The terahertz wave could be completely penetrate plastics,cartons,paper bags,cloth bags and foam packaging,and the permeability is much higher than other waves;But it is incapable of transmitting for metal-containing packaging,such as cans and foil.Next,we carried terahertz attenuated total reflection(ATR) scan of pure milk with plastic bag and yogurt with plastic cup.The terahertz wave can penetrate the packaging and get information about the characteristic spectra of milk and yogurt directly.The results showed that terahertz time-domain spectroscopy can penetrate through most of food packaging(excluding metal ingredients),it has the potential of non-destructive testing for internal defects and foreign body of food with opaque packaging.
