剥离/重组法制备TSH-蒙脱土纳米复合微孔泡沫塑料发泡剂

【摘要】 通过剥离/重组法制备了一种新型微孔泡沫塑料[1]发泡剂。以十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(CTA)作为改性剂改性蒙脱土原土(MMT)制得CTA-MMT,使蒙脱土由亲水性变为亲油性[2]。在己醇中超声剥离CTA-MMT得到50-250nm颗粒分散的胶体体系。往剥离后得到的蒙脱土胶体中加入化学发泡剂对甲苯磺酰肼(TSH),通过离心、干燥制得TSH吸附到CTA-MMT片层上的纳米复合发泡剂[3]。IR、XRD、TG-DTA、AFM和SEM等表征结果表明,TSH插层到蒙脱土片层间,形成TSH负载量约为10%、颗粒大小约为1μm(Fig.1a)的纳米复合发泡剂(NFA)。将纳米复合发泡剂应用到聚苯乙烯中发泡制得泡孔平均直径为3μm,泡孔密度为3.1×107个/cm3的微孔泡沫塑料(Fig.1b)。

【Abstract】 A nanocomposites foaming agent(NFA) was prepared by an exfoliation/reassembling process.Exfoliation of cetyl trimethylammonium ion-intercalated montmorillonite(MMT) in n-hexanol yields colloidal suspension of nanosheets with lateral dimension of about 50-250 nm and thickness down to 3.75 nm,ascertained by Tyndall effect and AFM.Then the chemical foaming agent TSH was added to the colloidal suspension and adsorbed onto the nanosheets.Finally,the suspension was centrifugated and dried.The obtained hybrid material was characterized by IR,XRD,TG-DTA and SEM.The results revealed that TSH was intercalated into MMT sheets.NFA containing about 10% TSH was comprised of platelike nanocomposites particles with width of about 1μm.The average thickness of plate was 20nm,which corresponded to the stacking of about 7 sheets of modified MMT.NFA was tested for foamability in PS.Microcellular foam with mean cell diameter of 3μm and cell density of 3.1× 107 cells/cm3 was obtained.
