【Abstract】 Reactions of hexaniobate with vanadate in the presence of the X V heteroatoms lead to the first high-nuclear TM cluster-substituted HPNs [XNb8VⅣ8O44] 11- (X =V,P), composed of the {V8} cluster and lacunary [XNb8O36]27- unit. Antitumor study indicates that anion [VNb8VⅣ8O44]11- exhibits effective activity against tumor cells.
