【Abstract】 Despite considerable efforts have been devoted to design of various chemsensors for biological thiols,they do not possess good selectivity toward Cys,Hcy and GSH.Here,we design and synthesize a colorimetric probe based on the spirocylic signal to detect Cys selectively.The probe contains an active site(dinitrobezenesulfonyl group) and a chromophore(merocyanine).In the present of Cys,the dinitrobezenesulfonyl group can be removed by a well-known thiol-mediated cleavage by an SNAr process,liberating the merocyanine chromophore which converts to its spiropyran form accompanying with the characteristic absorption(λabs=360 nm).Howere,In the present of Hcy and GSH,the the characteristic absorbance at 360nm can not be seen.
