含苯并菲盘状液晶聚炔的相结构

【Abstract】 Monosubstituted polyacetylenes(MSPA) with cis- configurations render rod-like shapes and can form columnar liquid crystalline(LC) phase,while MSPA with trans- configurations resulting in a sheet-like molecular shape and leads to a smectic phase.In this study,the phase structures of a series of side-chain liquid crystalline polyacetylenes containing triphenylene discogens and the corresponding monomers studied by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),one dimensional wide angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD),two dimensional WAXD,and the phase structures simulated by molecular dynamic simulation.The results show that the monomer self-organized into hexagonal columnar phase and the discogens helically packed around the rigid backbone and form a rod-like structure with a diameter of 3.45nm and the rod-like structure self-organized into hexagonal columnar phase.
