基于聚合物分散液晶光栅的电控光斩波器

【摘要】 光斩波器在光通信领域和光测量领域均有着重要应用。但是传统的机械斩波器有着响应速度慢、不易于集成等不足。聚合物分散液晶光栅材料为近年来广泛被看好的一种新型电光材料。它具有显著的电场可调性。本文制作研究了基于聚合物分散液晶光栅的光斩波器。首先用全息法制备聚合物分散液晶光栅,并设计了相应的控制电源系统,然后实验研究比较了基于聚合物分散液晶的光斩波器的性能。通过单通道和双通道光斩波器实验,发现其具有响应速度快、便于改变调制频率和占空比、易于集成化等优势,具有良好的应用前景。
【Abstract】 Optical choppers play important roles in photo-communication and photometry.However,conventional mechanical optical choppers exhibit some disadvantages such as slow response,difficulties in integration,etc.Holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal (H-PDLC) is a kind of novel photoelectronic material with widely high expectations in recent years.It is optically switchable.Optical choppers based on polymer dispersed liquid crystal gratings are manufactured and studied.First of all,optical choppers based on H-PDLC gratings are manufactured using holographic method,and the corresponding driving power is also designed.Secondly,the characteristics of optical chopper based on H-PDLC gratings are studied and compared with that of mechanical chopper.According to experimental results of one-channel and two-channel optical chopper based on H-PDLC choppers,it has rapid response and it’s easy to change its frequency and duty ratio as well as to integrate it.Therefore,the optical chopper based on H-PDLC gratings has application prospect.
