Power de-rating mechanisms in TD-SCDMA HSUPA

【摘要】 HSUPA通过引入高阶调制16QAM实现了上行高速速率,同时也提高了信号的功率峰均比(Peak toAverage Ratio,PAR)。为了不引起较大失真,最简单有效的方法就是对终端发射功率进行功率回退。分析介绍目前功率回退的两种主要机制:PAR机制与立方量度(Cubic Metric,CM)机制;为了使结果更有实际意义,通过仿真计算结合终端实测的方法确定了单码道高阶调制下终端所需要进行的功率回退值,为3GPP标准规范的完善提供了准确依据;验证分析了两种回退机制在不同码道数下的优劣;最后提出了未来研究中需要关注的功率回退相关问题。
【Abstract】 HSUPA achieves uplink speed rates through the introduction of a higher order modulation 16QAM,but 16QAM also increases the signal PAR.In order not to cause more distortion,the most simple and effective way is power de-rating of the terminal transmit power.This paper describes PAR mechanism and cubic metric mechanism which are the mainly power de-rating mechanisms researched in current time,and then determines the power de-rating value the terminal needs which is required by the higher order modulation by simulation and real test,and then provides it as accurate information for the complete of 3GPP standards. And the paper will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two mechanisms with different number of code channels,and finally the paper proposes the issues related to power de-rating that the future studies need to focus on.
