球形活性炭制备过程中萘的造孔机理及其作用的研究

【摘要】 以高软化点煤沥青为原料,萘为添加剂,通过不同的混合条件得到一系列调制沥青.再将所得调制沥青通过悬浮法制成沥青球。由正己烷萃取脱除沥青球中所含的萘,同时会在沥青球中形成"初孔"。接着对脱萘沥青球进行氧化稳定化,炭化以及活化处理,最终得到沥青基球形活性炭.分别通过偏光显微镜,扫描电镜,N2吸脱附,压汞法和热重等手段对样品的形貌,孔结构以及反应特性进行了研究.结果表明,调制沥青的结构的调整可以通过改变混合条件来实现.由高混合温度和快速降温得到的调制沥青LP-4结构均匀,内部萘晶体颗粒细小.由它制备的沥青球脱萘后初孔比表面积高于其他样品.这种初孔极大地促进了后续的氧化稳定化以及活化,使得由LP-4制备的球形活性炭球形度好,表面光滑,比表面积高达1065m2/g.
【Abstract】 Low softening point pitches(LPs) were obtained by blending coal tar pitch of high softening point with naphthalene under different mixing conditions.Pitch spheres(PSs) were then prepared from these LPs by suspension in water bath.Naphthalene contained in PSs was extracted by n-hexane afterwards,with"pre-pores"leaving behind inside PSs.After stabilization, carbonization and activation of the extracted PSs,pitch-based spherical activated carbons were finally obtained.The morphology,pore parameters and reaction kinetics of samples were investigated by optical light microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,N2 adsorption/desorption, mercury intrusion porosimetry and thermogravimetric analysis,respectively.Results showed that structure of LPs could be controlled by mixing conditions.Being prepared under high mixing temperature and rapid cooling rate,LP-4 showed a homogeneous structure with small naphthalene crystals.Pitch spheres from this LP got largest pre-pore surface area of all samples after extraction. The pre-pores favored subsequent stabilization as well as CO2 activation reaction markedly. Consequently,pitch-based spherical activated carbon from LP-4 displayed smooth surface and well spherical shape with its surface area up to 1065 m2/g.
