一种基于区域增长和三角分割的局部纹理映射算法

【摘要】 为增强三维场景中物体的真实感,展现物体局部细节特征,提出了一种基于区域增长和三角分割的局部纹理贴图映射算法。该算法以用户指定点为中心点,将包含该点三角面作中介面,通过将邻接平面展平到中介平面上,在一定范围内扩展该映射区域,计算区域内顶点纹理坐标。对于部分超过范围的三角面,通过求切线交点的方法进行三角分割,直至获得贴图的合适映射区域。算法成功应用于针织物外观模拟展示系统,很好地实现在不规则三维物体上的局部区域纹理映射。
【Abstract】 In order to enhance the reality and details of objects in 3D virtual scenes,an algorithm for regional texture mapping based on region growing is proposed.In the algorithms,an intermediary surface which contains a user specified central point is located,and all its adjacent triangular faces are projected onto it.Around the central point,all triangular faces and their neighbors within a specified bound are added to the region one by one.The triangular faces which across specified bound will be divided into smaller ones by triangulation.The procedure will be continued until a proper region for texture mapping is obtained.The algorithm has been successfully used in a weft-knitted fabric simulation system.It is quite effective in regional texture mapping especially for irregular 3D objects.
