基于水表自动判读系统的半字识别算法

【摘要】 半字情况下的数字识别一直是水表读数自动识别中的难点。根据半字图像的分割结果,本文提出了一种基于变化字长模板匹配的半字识别算法。该方法无需半字模板,直接通过比较上下半字的长度来选择相应的标准数字模板。在上下半字处理时,根据各自的字长分别选择标准数字模板的下上半部分来进行匹配,从而实现半字的识别。实验结果表明,该方法可以准确识别各种情况下的半字,有效地提高了水表读数自动识别的性能。
【Abstract】 It is the difficulty of task to recognize numbers in case of half numbers in automatic number recognition of water meters.By segmentation of half number images,a method of half number recognition was presented based on template matching of changeable length of numbers.Without half number template,our method proposed chose corresponding standard number template by comparing lengths between upside and downside numbers.According to the length of upside or downside half number,the downside or upside of standard number templates was used to match corresponding half number respectively,so as to realize half number recognition.The experimental results have shown that the method can recognize correctly half number in various cases so that the ability of automatic number recognition of water meter has improved effectively.
