双轴各向异性左手媒质的负折射研究
Study on the Negative Refraction in Biaxial Anisotropic Left-Handed Material

【摘要】 为了研究双轴各向异性左手媒质(BA-LHM)的负折射特性,提出了电磁波从各向同性右手媒质(RHM)斜入射到BA-LHM时发生负折射的判断方法,该方法从入射波和折射波能流密度的位置关系考虑折射问题,当它们同时位于交界面法线的同侧时即判定发生负折射,最后应用基于Drude色散模型的时域有限差分(FDTD)方法,对高斯波束从自由空间斜入射到BA-LHM的负折射进行了数值模拟,数值结果表明了理论的正确性。
【Abstract】 In order to study the negative refraction of the biaxial anisotropic left-handed material(BA-LHM),the judgment method that the negative refraction takes place when a plane wave passes from one isotropic right-handed material(RHM) into another BA-LHM is proposed.This method considers the ubieties between the energy flow of the incident wave and that of the refracted wave.The negative refraction exists only when they are located at the same side of the normal of the interface between RHM and BA-LHM.According to the theoretical analysis,the anomalous refraction of the CW Gaussian Beam passing from free space into BA-LHM are simulated by the finite difference time domain(FDTD) method based on the Drude dispersive models.The simulated results ate in agreement with theoretical results,which validates theoretical analysis.
