【Abstract】 For the Beijing satellite laser ranging(SLR) station, with the an apriori coordinates provided by GPS surveying, the average of the SLR residual is about 10-40cm and the standard deviation is about 4-10cm,which are higher than the noise level expected. The reason is that the an apriori coordinates are not accurate enough. In this paper,we use SLR data to both Lageosl and Lageos2 that were collected during September,2010 to estimate the coordinates of the Beijing station.Given the insufficient SLR data,we devise a method that is slightly different from the traditional method for precise SLR positioning.According to the new method, the average of the residual is 0cm and the RMS is within 5cm.The difference between the new coordinates and the apriori ones provided by GPS is about 51cm in height direction and 2.96cm in horizon directions using Lageosl data alone. The difference is 36.3cm in height direction and 5.49cm in horizon directions using Lageos2 data alone. The different is 38.3cm in height direction and 1.58 cm in horizon direction when both Lageosl and Lageos2 data is used.
