【Abstract】 The old city of Beijing,which is known as " incomparable masterpiece of the urban planning," is a typical representative of historic cities in China.The traditional central axis in the old city of Beijing is also called " a miracle in the world city construction history." With the sense of historical responsibility, this article makes a study of the evolution of Beijing’s city’s axis and also discusses the approach to enhance the protection of traditional central axis, which is aimed at establishing the cultural base for Beijing’s traditional central axis to launch the application for the World Cultural Heritage.更多还原
