海洋环流模式正压模经济时间积分方案试验
Experiments on two economical integration schemes in barotropic mode of an oceanic general circulation model

【摘要】 为节省计算时间,一些海洋环流模式采用将正压模、斜压模和温盐过程进行分裂计算的方案。本文在中国科学院大气物理研究所大气科学和地球流体力学数值模拟国家重点实验室(LASG)发展的海洋环流模式LIC0M正压模部分引进并试验了跳点时间中央差和纬圈方向半隐式两种可加大时间步长的积分方案。结果表明,在长期模拟试验中,两种经济方案都可使原最大积分步长由1 20s增加到1 8 0 s。文中对两种积分方案的结果进行了介绍和分析。
【Abstract】 To improve integration efficiency,a time-split integration scheme is used in the oceanic general circulation models(OGCMs) in State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics(LASG).In the LASG OGCMs,barotropic mode,baroclinic mode and thermohaline processes are integrated respectively with different time steps in the same leapfrog integration scheme.In the paper,to further improve integration efficiency, two economical integration schemes,a staggered time grid leapfrog scheme and a semi-implicit scheme for zonal gravity wave,are introduced into the barotropic mode of one of the LASG OGCMs named LICOM.In the Experiments,a discrete manner with 1°×1°longitude-latitude grid in the horizontal and 30 layers in the vertical is adopted.It’s shown that,the two economical integration schemes can all increase the size of time step from 120 seconds to 180 seconds in a long term run. Results of the two economical integration schemes and the original one are compared and shown in the paper.
