圆锥形电极微细电火花铣削定长补偿方法研究
Research on Fix-length Compensation Method Based on Conical Bottom Shape of Electrode in micro-EDM Milling

【摘要】 由于在微细电火花铣削加工中会产生严重的电极损耗,大大降低最终加工型腔的几何精度。定长补偿方法是一种实时有效的补偿方法。利用定长补偿方法并配合电极旋转,能得到圆锥形的电极端面。建立了圆锥形电极定长补偿加工的数学模型,发现圆锥角度、加工深度和补偿长度之间具有一定的函数关系。进行了加工单道槽的实验,采用MATLAB图像处理方法分析,得到加工截面具有很好的一致性,即加工有很好的稳定性。并将端面角度和加工深度的实验值与理论值进行比较,验证了模型的准确性。
【Abstract】 Electrical discharge machining(EDM) milling is an effective machining method to fabricate complex three-dimensional structures.However,the serious electrode wear occurring in the machining process significantly deteriorates the geometrical accuracy of the products.Fix-length compensation method is a real-time and effective electrode compensation method.Bottom shape of electrode will become conical under fix-length compensation method combined rotating tool electrode. This paper establishes the mathematic model of fix-length compensation method with conical bottom electrode,and find that there is a function relationship among the angle,machining depth and compensation length.Use MATLAB image processing method to analysis the cross-section of single-groove machined by EDM milling,and get the result that the machining process has good stability.The relative error between experimental results and theoretical results of the angle and machining depth is basically less than 5%,and verify the accuracy of the model.
