【Abstract】 This article deals with the correct methodology of eucalyptus(Eucalyptus) genetic improvement,according to the circumstance of rapid developing the short-rotation industrial timber-forest in South China to meet the social demand. 5 problems,which should be attened for eucalyptus improved variety’s development, espacially for the development of improved clones,were discussed:1.Understanding the genetic backeround of eucalyptus,2.Planning breeding programme according to its characteristic,3.Selecting suitable improved variety for certain ecological zone,4.Strengthening the basic research of clonal breeding systerm, 5.The works of sexual breeding can not be slighted for to get high productivity clones of eucalyptus.更多还原
