【摘要】 <正>Introduction Hydropower stations with large generating capacity underground units are developed in China these years.Gas Insulated Metal Enclosed Transmission Line(GIL)is a high voltage,high current,and long distance power transmission system which is an option for high power transmission from underground powerhouse to the outgoing station on ground level.This article introduces the application of 800kV GIL in a 207m vertical shaft of Yellow River Laxiwa Hydropower Station in China with main characteristics of the equipment structure,layout,installation,and field test.
