【Abstract】 In the present invetigation,22 patients with brain tumor were recruited using FTIR spectroscopic measurement. These obtained FTIR spectra were analyzed and compared.It was found that there were significant differences in the spectral features of neurinoma and meningoima such as the changes in peak position,band shape and peak intensity of the bands in the ranges of 1 000-1 800 cm-1.The results indicate that the characteristic of the brain tumors can be distinguished by the variations of some peak positions(such as 1165cm-1) which are in agreement with the pathological results larger than 90%.
