【Abstract】 Xiuli is a new variety of mini watermelon,which bred by the project team of"high-quality and anti-special-type watermelon breeding research and industrialization"of Institute of Horticulture,Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1999.The variety is extremely early maturity, the growth period of cultivar is 75～80d,and the days of fruit development is about 24～25d.It’s about 2.5～2.6kg in average weight,and the largest fruit weighing more than 3kg.The yield in open field cultivation is 48000kg/hm~2,and the yield is 52500～60000kg/hm~2 in greenhouse cultivation.The plants growth weakly in seedling,and growth vigorously after stretch-vine stage.It can resistant to low temperature and poor light,and easy fruit setting.The fruits are small-sized,long oval,patterns skin, The flesh is red color and of excellent flavor with crisp flesh,the sugar content of central flesh is 13～14%and edge sugar content is 10～11%,and it immune to crack and can be stored easily.It is suitable to plant in protected field such as greenhouses etc.It through the validation of Shanghai and Jiangsu respectively in the year of 2003 and 2004.更多还原
