【Abstract】 Zaomi is a new variety of mini watermelon,which bred by Institute of Horticulture, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences.Its paternity is W008,and the maternal parent is WY.This variety was bred in 2004.During the period of 2005～2007,the variety had been completed a series of experiments and examinations,achieves commercial production and extended in Anhui province,with stable and consistent characteristics.The fruits are small-sized,long oval,about 2kg in average weight, marked on green surface with dark-green stripes.The flesh is red color and of excellent flavor,the sugar content of central flesh is 13.5%and there are low grads of sugar content from central to edge. The shipping quality is good,and it immune to crack and can be stored easily,and tolerant to fusarium wilt.Early maturity,the growth period of cultivar is 80-88d,and the days of fruit development is about 24d.The plants are vigorous and high resistant to stress,easy to fruit and high production,especially in below temperature and poor light cultivated in protected field in early spring and later autumn with 85%of fruit set percentage.The yield is about 3600kg/667m~2 when it cultivated in greenhouse in spring and autumn,and 7500kg/667m~2 while it produced for multi-batch.更多还原
