【Abstract】 In this study,5036 non-redundant ESTs of watermelon were screened and 350 SSRs were mined out.The frequency of these EST-SSRs was 6.09%and mean distance was 7.43 kb in the non-redundant ESTs.All these SSRs included 97 kinds of repeat motifs and dinucleotide and trinucleotide repeats were dominant types,accounting for 39.43%and 46.86%,respectively.AT is most frequent motif in Dinucleotide accounting for 23.19%.But the distribution of trinucleotide repeats was dispersive and the dominant motif was GAA only accounting for 8.54%in all the trinucleotide repeats.A total of 11 primer pairs were designed and tested against genomic DNA of watermelon.Eight primers could produce valid bands and the polymorphic bands were ranged from 2 to 6.All the eight primers were polymorphic between cultivated watermelon and wild watermelon germplasm.The above results indicated that watermelon EST-SSR was effective and feasible.更多还原
