新型双端读出DOIPET探测器模拟研究

【摘要】 虽然PET已经被广泛应用于临床诊断和基础医学研究,各项性能指标都达到了较高水平,但PET探测器的一些固有局限性限制了其性能的进一步提高,其中DOI效应严重影响了PET系统性能和成像质量。为了解决这一难题,我们设计了一种新型双端读出DOI探测器,可精确定位光子在晶体中的作用深度,降低DOI效应的影响。我们在Linux系统下搭建基于Geant4的多人多任务网络数据模拟平台为本项研究提供模拟数据支持。通过对该探测器系统的空间分辨率、探测效率等性能的研究,进一步优化和完善探测器设计方案,通过详细的数据分析,发现该新型探测器能够很好的降低DOI效应的影响。
【Abstract】 PET has been widely used in clinical diagnosis and basic medical research and its performance have reached a high level,but some of its’ inherent character have limited it to further improve.DOI effect has restrictedit further improve in the systemperformance and imagingqualityof the PET detector at largely.For this key issues,we have adopted a novel design to obtain the depth of interaction of the photons in the crystalaccurately,to reduce the impact of the DOI effect on the PET detector.Wedeveloped a multi-users simulation platform based on Linux system to offer simulation data.Simulation software Geant4 has been used to do this new style detector simulation and detector design has been optimizedthrough the simulation data analysis of spatialresolution and sensitivity.According the analysis results,we found that this new style detector design can improve the spatialresolution of PET detector.
