超声处理对Mg-Al二元镁合金凝固组织的影响

【摘要】 本文采用自制的镁合金熔体超声处理设备及附属装置,研究了Mg-Al二元镁合金经超声处理后组织变化情况,结果表明:Mg-Al二元镁合金经高强超声处理后凝固组织均发生了明显的细化,其初生相由发达的树枝晶转变为细小等轴的球状晶,聚集在晶界上的β-Mg17Al12也变得细小且不连续,但对不同Al含量的Mg-Al二元镁合金的晶粒和β-Mg17Al12的细化程度不同。超声处理技术极大地改变了熔体中的传热和传质过程,影响了晶体的形核和生长,从而细化了镁合金的组织,为镁合金的晶粒细化开辟一条新途径。
【Abstract】 The test-equipment of ultrasonic treatment and the accessory equipments were designed and used in the paper. The effect of ultrasonic treatment on microstructure refinement of Mg-Al alloy was investigated. The experiment results show that the microstructures of Mg-Al alloy with ultrasonic treatment are significantly effective in grain refining. The dendrite morphology of the primary phase in Mg-Al binary alloys is changed and the fine globular equiaxed grains are formed. The network of β-Mg17Al12 phase distributed on grain boundary is discontinuous in Mg-Al binary alloy with ultrasonic treatment. The refining degree of the primary phase and β-Mg17Al12 phase in Mg-Al binary alloy with different Al content is different after solidification of Mg-Al binary alloys with ultrasonic treatment. Ultrasonic treatment dramatically changed the processes of heat and mass transfer in the melt, affected the nucleation and growth of crystals, and hence refined the solidification microstructure of magnesium alloys. The results also confirm that ultrasonic treatment of magnesium melt will be a new method for the grain refinement of magnesium alloys.
