0.44THz二次谐波回旋管的模拟与设计

【摘要】 回旋管是一种重要的高功率毫米波太赫兹辐射源器件,二次谐波回旋管与基波回旋管相比可以极大地减小工作磁场,具有重要的研究价值。设计了0.44THz二次谐波TE06模回旋管高频系统,利用多模自洽非线性理论研究了其工作特性,并分析了其模式竞争问题。模拟计算结果表明,当电子注电压为20kV、电子注电流为2A、工作磁场为8.16T时,回旋管可以获得68.88dBm(7.73kW)的二次谐波0.44THz的输出,注波互作用效率约为19.3%。
【Abstract】 Gyrotron is a very important high power millimeter wave-terahertz radiation source.Second harmonic operation is of special significance due to low magnetic field operation,and has significant research value.In this paper,a 0.44THz second harmonic gyrotron has been designed.The operation characteristics have been investigated, by multi-mode self-consistent nonlinear theory.The mode competition problem is also studied.The results show that, when electron beam voltage is 20kV,electron beam current is 2A,and operation magnet field is 8.16T,the gyrotron could achieve 68.88dBm(7.73kW) output power at 0.44THz in second harmonic operation.The beam-wave interaction efficiency is about 19.3%.
