【摘要】 <正>1.An overview of the new project to promote national health in Japan In the year 2000,Japanese government set force a large scale national project to promote health,to prevent lifestyle-related diseases such as coronary heart disease,cerebro-vascular disease,cancer,diabetes,and to eliminate underlying risk factors of these diseases by improving daily lifestyle.The objectives of this project is to seek healthier life for the coming 21st century, known as"Healthy Japan 21".The outlines of the project were compiled in"The Report of the Task Forces for Planning Healthy Japan 21 and Framing the Healthy Japan 21 Projects"(March 2000).
