化学气相沉积法在钛上原位合成碳纳米管的研究

【摘要】 碳纳米管(CNTs)自被发现以来因其优异的力学、电学、热学性能得到了广泛的关注。将其作为金属基复合材料的增强体是其最具前景的应用之一。国内外学者已成功将CNTs应用于镁、铜、锌、铝基金属材料的性能改善上,但目前对CNTs在钛基复合材料的研究还鲜有报道。钛及钛合金在航空、舰船、兵器、医疗等军用及民用领域得到日益广泛的应用,利用CNTs进一步改善钛及合金的强度和耐磨性,具有很高的研究和实用价值。本文首次提出以纯钛粉为催化剂载体,以镍为催化剂,采用化学气相沉积法(CVD)在钛基体上原位合成CNTs的方法,在钛基体上获得了直径在10nm~40nm,分布均匀的多壁碳纳米管。探讨了催化剂镍含量,CVD温度对反应物形态、分布的影响。结果表明,当镍含量为3%,合成温度为550℃时得到的CNTs的结构与分布最有利于CNTs/Ti复合粉末的制备。在合适的实验条件下,Ti适宜作为催化剂载体生长CNTs。

【Abstract】 Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)have attracted a great deal of attention due to their outstanding mechanics properties and high electrical and thermal conductivities since CNTs were discovered.CNTs are useful as attractive reinforcement materials for light weight and high strength metal matrix composites.CNTs have been used to reinforce magnesium,copper,zinc and aluminum base metal matrix material,but it has not been report that CNTs were synthesized in-situ on titanium powders by chemical vapor deposition(CVD).Titanium and titanium alloy are very important structural and functional materials.It is meaningful for remedying the disadvantages of titanium using CNTs.In this article,Multi-walled CNTs with the diameters range from 10 to 40 nm was synthesized in-situ successfully by CVD using titanium powder as the carrier and nickel as the catalyst.The catalyst content and the synthesis temperature were discussed.The results showed that CNTs synthesized uniformly distributed in titanium matrix when the nickel content is 3%and growth temperature is 550℃.It is suitable to fabricate CNTs on titanium powders for the excellent structure and distribution of as-grown CNTs.
